Tier 1 — The accessible base rookies

Start here if you want a genuine Wemby rookie without chasing a slab. These are the widely printed flagship sets:

• Panini Donruss — home of the classic Rated Rookie #220, the most recognizable entry-level Wemby rookie, plus the eye-catching Downtown and other case-hit inserts collectors love.
• Panini Hoops — the traditional budget rookie, card #277, with retail parallels (including the holiday Winter card), the chrome Premium Stock sister release, and the popular insert lineup.
• Panini Prizm (base) — the flagship base rookie, card #136, with the chrome-like finish; the gateway to the color-parallel rainbow.

Tier 2 — Chrome, optic, and mosaic

The reflective and die-cut families, where parallels start to matter and values step up:

• Panini Prizm — Silver & colors — the marquee Silver Prizm (unnumbered) and the full color rainbow on card #136, from Red /299 and Blue /199 up through Gold /10, Black Gold /5, and the Black 1/1. Tier 3 — Premium and artistic

Higher-end sets with lower print, painterly designs, and on-card autographs:

• Court Kings — the artistic, painterly premium rookie collectors prize for its look; a distinct alternative to the chrome sets. • Panini Origins, Recon, Photogenic & Certified — mid-premium brands with striking designs, numbered parallels, and autograph versions.
• Panini Obsidian & Absolute — bold, dark-finish premium cards with color parallels and signed rookies.
• Panini Contenders — his base ticket card is #11, and his ticket-design chase is Rookie Ticket Swatches #6, a jersey-relic version. How to use this checklist

1. Pick your tier and budget first. A base Donruss or Hoops rookie is a very different buy from a National Treasures RPA.
2. Buy graded above pocket change. As one of the hobby’s hottest rookies, Wemby’s chase cards attract fakes — a PSA, BGS, or SGC slab protects authenticity and condition.
3. Watch sold comps, not asking prices. Values move constantly; the eBay links open live listings so you’re always looking at the current market.
4. Check centering before you grade. The chrome sets punish off-center cards — run yours through the card-centering tool first.
